“I think that it’s virtually impossible that a U.S. attorney from the Southern District of New York has agreed to file an information and will allow Mr. Madoff to go to trial on that,” says Charles A. Ross, a criminal-defense attorney who is not involved in the case. “If there’s going to be a trial in this case, they would file an indictment.”
